Happy Winter Solstice

Late dawn. Early sunset. Short day. Long night. In the Northern Hemisphere, the December solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. Meanwhile, on the day of the December solstice, the Southern Hemisphere has its longest day and shortest night. This special solstice occurs within about two-and-a-half hours of a new moon. No matter where you live on Earth’s globe, a solstice is your signal to celebrate.

  1. And summer solstice for us. Not such a great reason to celebrate as it means winter is on the way again! However I do love a change of season. Merry Christmas to you and the family Dini. I do love living vicariously through your adventures while I am busy working as hard as I can so that one day I will be on that yacht next door to yours!

    1. Bless you Vivci, so lovely to always have you ‘right there’. Happy summer solstice, of course – change is the only constant… look forward to that day too;) xx
